"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." Romans 12:2 (NIV)
The mind and body connection is a concept we've heard of yet when it comes to its application, many of us are left with unanswered questions. As a Lifestyle Fitness trainer, I serve my client's by helping them achieve wellness goals that is intended to coach one's life toward optimal health. In my experience training individuals ranging in age from 18-87, I've realized one thing- to get the best results possible, one must first understand the importance of learning how to renew the mind as an exercise versus bodily exercise alone. In fact, this is how CORE Fitness came into existence. What started as an acronym which stands for: Community of Renewed Exercise, has now evolved into a wholistic Lifestyle Fitness Program that can benefit people of all ages, backgrounds, beliefs and gender. So allow me to reiterate my point with a question. What is the single most important exercise to practice on a daily basis? It's an exercise for the mind called The Law of Attraction. It's so simple to understand yet so many of us don't use it nearly enough for our benefit. Why? What exactly is it? And if I tell you that you can create the life that you really want, are you willing to do what it takes to get it? The mind is a powerful tool that can be used to to draw anything you focus on, good or bad, to you. With our words we speak our thoughts and thoughts become things. As a Christian, who embraces everyone with the universal love the unites us all, I've applied this law many times throughout the years and so I know it works. The first time I experienced this "Secret" I was confessing an unexpected income declaration several times a day for months. I got the declaration from my church and because of my beliefs, I was intrigued by the process of daily confessions. I spoke it so much that I began to actually feel the positive energy I was creating and grew in confidence that something amazing would happen. During this time In 2006, my husband and I were running a home-based business and he also worked full-time at IBM while I focused on being a homeschool mom of our two young children. Although I didn't know how our income would increase, I believed that it would. After a few months, my husband won Representative of the Year, reached his first six-figure income goal and also qualified for Golden Circle which entitles qualifiers to take someone on an all expense paid trip. That year it was to Bali, Indonesia. It was an amazing spiritual experience full of many unexpected blessings. Putting this journey to the other side of the world into words wouldn't do it justice and because Bali is known as, "The Morning of the World," I took the following picture at sunrise to remind me of my serendipitous experience. To achieve the life we really want, all one needs to do is embrace a simple process: Ask, Believe and Receive. Enjoy the journey!

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened."
Matthew 7:7-8 (NIV)
